In \S1 of this paper the author generalizes the theory of rotated vector fields of G. F. D. Duff to rotated vector fields \[ \dot x=f_ 1(x,y,\lambda), \qquad \dot y=f_ 2(x,y,\lambda) \tag{\(1_ \lambda\)} \] where \(\lambda\in R\), \(f_ i\) and \(G\) are analytic, and no cycle of \((1_ \lambda)\) is congruent to a branch of \(G(x,y)=0\); he proves that all the chief results of Duff remain true. In \S2 the author proves that a rotation of the vector field causes a precession of the saddle separatrices such that after a rotation of the field vectors through \(\pi\) radians, a stable (unstable) separatrix has turned into the position of the neighbouring unstable (stable) separatrix of the initial field. Unfortunately, these results have already been obtained by X. Y. Chen and Z. E. Ma more than ten years ago, respectively. See the reviewer [Theory of limit cycles, Transl. Math. Monogr. 66, Am. Math. Soc. (1986; Zbl 0588.34022), \S3] and the references.
