The multivariate Padé approximants introduced by the author are very much like univariate Padé approximants. They satisfy a number of well- known properties: covariance properties, block-structure of the Padé table, the \(\epsilon\)-algorithm, the qd-algorithm and so on. Because they are so close to the univariate case they probably allow the most ''Montessus de Ballore''-like convergence theorem for multivariate meromorphic functions. Differences with existing convergence theorems for other multivariate Padé approximants are pointed out.
