In this very interesting paper, the author proves that the interior of the convex core of any quasifuchsian punctured-torus group admits an ideal triangulation (or slightly more general decomposition) which relates both to the intrinsic geometry of the convex core, and to the combinatorics of its boundary pleatings. This result also re-proves the Pleating Lamination Theorem for the quasifuchsian punctured-torus if a strong version of the Pleating Lamination Conjecture is true.
