A new meshless Petrov-Galerkin method is introduced and it is shown that under certain assumptions, the result obtained using this method combined with radial basis functions converges to the solution of partial differential equations gradually [cf. \textit{H. Wendland}, Math. Comput. 68, No. 228, 1521--1531 (1999; Zbl 1020.65084)]. The theoretical analysis and numerical results presented here indicate the efficiency and accuracy of the method.
