One implication of the Poisson hypothesis for large queueing networks is, roughly speaking, that the flows at the different nodes tend to a constant limit as time tends to infinity. In particular, the system forgets its initial state. In the present paper, the authors give an example of a large queueing network that does not forget its initial state. The idea is to start with a certain three nodes queueing network with two classes of customers that exhibits an oscillative behaviour before it converges to an equilibrium. Then couple a large number \(N\) of such systems in a mean field manner and let \(N\) go to infinity. In the limiting system the periodic oscillative behaviour is preserved even for long times if the average workload is large enough.
