    For a symmetric holomorphic \(\varphi(z)\) on \(\mathbb{C}^*\) with respect to the Weyl group generated by \(z \rightarrow z^{-1}\) and a point \(\xi \in \mathbb{C}^*\), the sum \[ \left<\varphi,\xi\right>:=\int_0^{\xi \infty} \varphi(z) \Phi(z) \Delta(z) \frac{d_q z}{z}:=(1-q) \sum_{\nu=-\infty}^\infty \varphi(q^\nu \xi) \Phi(q^\nu \xi) \Delta(q^\nu \xi), \] where \[ \Phi(z):=\prod_{k=1}^{sk+2} z^{\frac12-\alpha_k} \frac{(qz/a_k)_\infty}{(za_k)_\infty},\quad a_k=q^{\alpha_k}, \quad \Delta(z):=z^{-1}-z \] is called the Jackson integral of type \(BC_1\) when it converges. The holomorphic function \(\left<\left<\varphi,\xi\right>\right>\) is obtained by a process of regularization from \(\left<\varphi,\xi\right>\). The author proves that for \(\varphi(z)\) a symmetric polynomials, \(x_i \in \mathbb{C}^*\) (\(1\leq i \leq s\)) satisfying that \(x_j, x_k, \frac{x_j}{x_k} \not \in \{1, q^{\pm 1}, q^{\pm 2}, \dots \}\) for \(j \not = k\), \[ \left< \left < \varphi, z \right> \right>=\sum_{k=1}^s \left< \left < \varphi, x_k \right> \right> \prod_{1 \leq j \leq s, \, j \not =k} \frac{\theta(x_jz)\theta(x_j/z)}{\theta(x_jx_k)\theta(x_j/x_k)} \] where \(\theta(z)=(z)_\infty(q/z)_\infty\). Using this, the author recovers transformation formulas for the \(_{2r}\psi_{2r}\) hypergeometric series defined by \[ _n\psi_n\left[\begin{matrix} a_1,\dots, a_n\\b_1,\dots, b_n\end{matrix};q,z \right]:=\sum_{\nu = -\infty}^\infty\frac{(a_1,\dots,a_n)_\nu}{(b_1,\dots,b_n)_\nu}z^\nu \] that were originally due to Sears and Slater.
