The authors develop a nonlinear model for piezoelastic laminated plates with damage effect. The performance of piezoelastic layers depends on bending conditions between the piezoelastic and non-piezoelastic layers. The presented nonlinear free vibration analysis uses the von Kármán-type nonlinear strains. By applying Hamilton principle, the authors derive nonlinear dynamic equations for simply supported piezoelastic laminated plate and solve them using Galerkin method.
