Let \(G\) be the ``\(ax+b\)''-group with the left invariant Haar measure \(d\nu\), and let \(\psi\) be a fixed real-valued admissible wavelet on \(L_2(\mathbb{R})\). The author studies the associated space of Calderón (or wavelet) transforms and describes its structure inside \(L_2(G,d\nu)\), after identification of the group \(G\) with the upper half-plane in the complex plane \(\mathbb{C}\). For a given bounded measurable function (symbol) \(a\) on \(G\) and an admissible wavelet \(\psi\), he studies the properties of the so-called Calderón-Toeplitz operators \(T_a\). The key results, giving direct access to the majority of the properties of such operators, is that the Calderón-Toeplitz operator \(T_a\) with symbol \(a\) depending only on the imaginary part \(v=\Im \zeta\), \(\zeta \in G\), is unitary equivalent to a certain multiplication operator \(\gamma_aI\), acting on \(L_2(\mathbb{R})\). The explicit formula for the function \(\gamma_a\) is given. The author describes as well Wick symbols for such Calderón-Toeplitz operators and the formula for the star product of these Wick symbols.
