Let f be an inner function on the unit disc \(\Delta\), S(f) its singular set, that is, the closed set of points of \(\partial \Delta\) across which f does not continue analytically. This paper is concerned with the Hausdorff dimension, denoted D, of this singular set. \(\rho\) denotes hyperbolic distance. Theorem: Let f be an inner function and assume that f omits two points \(a,b\in \Delta\) with \(\rho(a,b)\leq \epsilon\). If I is an open interval then either \(S(f)\cap I=\emptyset\) or \(D(S(f)\cap I)\geq \alpha (\epsilon)\), where \(\alpha(\epsilon)>\) with \(\alpha(\epsilon)\to 1\) as \(\epsilon\to 0\). As a corollary, if f omits a non-discrete set in \(\Delta\), then \(D(S(f))=1\).
