Summary: We apply the discrete singular convolution (DSC) method to the differential equation, which governs the free vibration of anisotropic plates. Regularized Shannon delta kernel is selected as singular convolution to illustrate the algorithm. The derivatives in both the governing equations and in the boundary conditions are discretized by the method of DSC. The obtained results are compared with other numerical results available in the literature, and it is shown that accurate results can be achieved.
