The article is connected to work of the first named author [ibid. 37, 531-546 (1997; see the following review; Zbl 0910.22013)]. It is concerned with the study of Whittaker vectors of large discrete series representations of the group \(SU(2,2)\). The authors review results of \textit{H. Yamashita} [ibid. 31, 543-571 (1991; Zbl 0745.22012)] giving differential equations for the Whittaker vectors and obtain integral representations.
