This paper presents the formulation of a new mixed element for solving Navier-Stokes problem in three-dimensional space using hexahedral elements. The intention is to reduce the number of degrees of freedom and to eliminate the computational difficulties encountered in other formulations. The basic theory and the format of mixed finite element are discussed.
