Generalization of interpolation inequalities (Q1268743): Difference between revisions

The authors state necessary and sufficient conditions on \(\alpha\), \(\beta\) and \(k\), \(n\), \(p\), \(q\), \(r\) for the following interpolation inequality to be valid \[ \|D_{\xi_1}\cdots D_{\xi_k} f\|_q\leq K\|f\|^\alpha_p \|\Delta^n f\|^\beta_r \] for every \(f\in L_p(\mathbb{R}^d)\) and the Laplace operator interpolation \(\Delta^n f\in L_r(\mathbb{R}^d)\). Here the positive constant \(K\) does not depend on \(f\). The presented result is a modification of the so-called Landau-Kolmogorov, Timoffeev and other interpolation inequalities.
