Let \(G\) be a complex classical Lie group (\(G = \text{SL}(n,\mathbb{C})\), \(\text{SO}(n,\mathbb{C})\), \(\text{Sp}(2n,\mathbb{C})\)). For each \(G\), the author constructs (in a natural way) a semigroup \(\overline{G}\) having the following properties: a) \(G\) is dense in \(\overline{G}\); b) any irreducible holomorphic representation \(\rho\) of \(G\) can be extended in a canonical way to a projective representation \(\overline{\rho}\) of \(\overline{G}\); c) for any irreducible \(\rho\), the set \(\mathbb{C} \overline{\rho}(\overline{G})\) coincides with the closure of \(\mathbb{C}\rho(G)\). (The semigroup \(\overline{G}\) is endowed with a non- separable topology.) Elements of \(\overline{G}\) are some sequences of linear relations (moreover, there is a ``null'' element). Similar completions of classical groups were used in some works on algebraic geometry. But it is the paper under review where the natural multiplication is observed. Moreover, the author considers some natural actions of \(\overline{G}\) on some completed homogeneous spaces of \(G\) (flag spaces, symmetric spaces).
