Stroh type formalism for unsymmetric laminated plate (Q1338050): Difference between revisions

The author discusses the Stroh formalism for a class of two-dimensional problems when coupling of bending and tension for unsymmetric laminated plates is taken into account. It is shown that the classical Stroh formalism, suitable for generalized plane strain problems, can also be used to solve plate bending problems. The paper seems to be too formal; however, the Stroh type formalism extended to anisotropic plate bending problems offers an alternative powerful way to analyse the composite plate problems.
