In part I [ibid. 24, 453-481 (1994; Zbl 0810.11071)] the authors associated with every monic irreducible polynomial \(\sigma\) over a finite field \(\mathbb{F}_ q\) a graph \(G_ \sigma\), whose properties are related to the dynamics of the mapping defined by \(\sigma\) in the algebraic closure of \(\mathbb{F}_ q\). Here the structure of connected components of that graph is studied and in the case of prime \(q\) and \(\sigma (x)= x^ q \pm x\) it is determined explicitly.
