In the note under review the author determines the indecomposable components (including multiplicities) of the adjoint representation \textbf{ad} of the restricted quantized universal enveloping algebra of \(sl_2\) at an odd primitive root of unity of order \(\geq 3\). The proof uses extensively that \textbf{ad} is \(\mathbb{Z}\)-graded. It is also claimed that the multiplicities remain the same after lifting \textbf{ad} to Lusztig's integral form. The motivation for investigating this representation comes from the important role which its semisimple part plays in the study of conformal blocks of the WZW model of affine \(sl_2\).
