The paper refers to an area of algebraic geometry. Basic topological properties of real algebraic sets and regular morphisms are examined, and the behavior of injective morphisms between germs of real algebraic sets is investigated. As a result -- any injective regular self-mapping of a real algebraic set must be a homeomorphism. Based on the achieved the author presents a new topological proof of \textit{K. Kurdyka}'s theorem and confirms the fact that injective regular self-mappings of real algebraic varieties are homeomorphisms [Math. Ann. 313, No. 1, 69--83 (1999; Zbl 0933.14036)].
