    This paper deals with blow-up results for solutions of the inequality \[ | u|_t\geq \Delta[| u|^\theta u]+| u|^r+ \omega(x) \] and the corresponding equation \[ | u|_t= \Delta[| u|^\theta u]+| u|^r+ \omega(x) \] on the half-space \(\Omega\) without considering their traces on the hyperplane \(t= 0\), where \(\Omega= \mathbb{R}^1_+\times \mathbb{R}^n\), \(\Delta:= \sum^n_{i=1} {\partial^2\over\partial x^2_i}\), \(n\geq 1\), \(\theta\geq 0\), \(r> 1+\theta\), and \(\omega: \mathbb{R}^n\to [0,+\infty)\) is a nontrivial function satisfying some assumptions. As a consequence of these results, the authors obtain new blow-up results for nonnegative solutions of the inequality \[ u_t\geq \Delta[| u|^\theta u]+| u|^{r-1} u+\omega(x) \] and \[ u_t= \Delta[| u|^\theta u]+| u|^{r-1} u+ \omega(x). \] Moreover, the authors prove that the critical blow-up exponent belongs to the blow-up case.
