A simple yet accurate method for computing three-dimensional parabolic laminar flow of an incompressible, viscous fluid in a constant area duct is presented. The boundary-layer type nonlinear equations of motion are solved numerically using finite differences and the variable mesh technique. Result of the present calculations are compared with experimental and previous theoretical data for flow through square and rectangular ducts; the agreement is satisfactory.
