Adolf Zeising ist geboren am 24. September 1810 zu Ballenstedt, gestorben am 27. April 1876 zu München. Der Mathematik gehört er insofern an, als er den Begriff des Schönen mathematisch auf Grundlage des goldenen Schnittes zu fixiren suchte.
