This paper deals with two integrable systems which are motivated by hyperbolic monopoles. The first is the discrete Braam-Austin or Nahm equation, which in a certain sense is dual to the hyperbolic monopole system. The second comes from replacing the positive-definite space \(H^3\) by a Lorenzian version, namely the anti-de Sitter space. Then the Bogomolny equation becomes an evolution equation on this space-time, admitting soliton solutions.
