One considers a Finsler space \(F^m = (M,L) \) such that the metric tensor \(g_{ij}(x,y) \) derived from \(L\) has \(q\) negative eigenvalues and \(m-q\) positive eigenvalues. Regarding \(g_{ij}(x,y) \) as the coefficients of a pseudo-Riemannian metric in the vertical bundle (vertical distribution) on the tangent manifold \(TM\) and assuming that the Liouville vector field \(V\) generated by the homotheties of \(TM\) is space-like, the authors normalize \(V\) and consider the distribution orthogonal to it in the vertical distribution, called the Liouville distribution. They prove i) the Liouville distribution is integrable, ii) each leaf of the Liouville distribution is totally umbilical immersed in a leaf of the vertical distribution, iii) each leaf of the Liouville distribution lies in the indicatrix of \(F^m\) and has constant curvature equal to \(-1\) and iv) there exist no leaves of the vertical distribution which are positively or negatively curved.
