The author studies the nonrelativistic limit of the scattering theory for the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation. The nonlinearity is given by \(f(u)=|u|^pu\), with \(p>0\). It is shown that the wave operators, their inverses and the scattering operator of the Klein-Gordon system converge to those of nonlinear Schrödinger equation. That means that the time-asymptotic behavior can be described through the nonrelativistic approximation.
