Let \(G\) be a Lie group. In order to study representations of \(G\) on Hilbert spaces one looks for geometric setups related to such representations. Let \({\mathbf g}\) denote the Lie algebra of \(G\) and let \((M,\omega,{\mathbf g},\lambda)\) be a strongly Hamiltonian system, i.e., \((M,\omega)\) is a symplectic manifold and \(\lambda:{\mathbf g}\to C^\infty(M)\) is an algebra homomorphism from \({\mathbf g}\) to \(C^\infty(M)\) endowed with the Poisson structure coming from the symplectic structure on \(M\). A ``star-product'' [see Part I of this paper by \textit{P. Bieliavsky}, Prog. Math. 172, 71-82 (1999; Zbl 0956.53056) and \textit{D. Arnal} and \textit{J. C. Cortet}, J. Geom. Phys. 2, 83-116 (1985; Zbl 0599.22012)] is an associative multiplication on \(C^\infty(M)[[\nu]]\) which is a formal deformation of pointwise multiplication in the direction of the Poisson structure. The idea is now to look at star products which are in a certain sense compatible with the homomorphism \(\lambda:{\mathbf g}\to C^\infty(M)\) and use such star products to construct new representations of \({\mathbf g}\), called ``star representations''. Given such a representation of \({\mathbf g}\), the question is whether it is induced by a representation of \(G\). The article proves that this is indeed the case for certain symmetric spaces, called to be of ``Cayley type'', and identifies the resulting representation as a holomorphic discrete series representation. For the proof Jordan algebra techniques are used.
