For quasi-differential equations of odd order \[ l_{2n+1}[y]-\lambda a(x)y=0, \] with \[ l_{2n+1}[y]= (-1)^n(ib_{n+1,n}(x)(b_{n,n+1}(x)y^{(n)})')^{(n)}+ \sum_{r=0}^n\sum_{s=0}^n(-1)^{n-s}(b_{r,s}(x)y^{(n-r)})^{(n-s)}, \] the coefficients \(a(x), b_{r,s}\) complex-valued functions, existence and uniqueness of a solution to some boundary value problem is proved. Spectral properties of the corresponding eigenvalue problem are investigated. The structure of the generalized Green function is analyzed.
