The paper shows how a semisimplicial set satisfying the weak Kan condition can be lifted to a simplicial set, provided any object allows an ``idempotent self-equivalence''. The choice of this lifting is essentially unique and can be transferred to other settings (e.g. semi-simplicial spaces satisfying fibrancy conditions.
