Properties of the force operator are considered for the case of a cylindrical plasma surrounded by an infinitely conducting wall. The operator is Fourier analyzed and an adequate treatment of related boundary conditions is performed. The obtained operator spectra for the Alfven and the slow magnetoacoustic waves are discussed.
