A classical theorem of MacMahon states that the length and the major index statistics have the same distribution over the symmetric group. Several authors gave analogous results for other groups, as \textit{A. Regev} and \textit{Y. Roichman} [Adv. Appl. Math. 33, 676--709 (2004; Zbl 1057.05004)] for the alternating group, \textit{R. M. Adin}, \textit{F. Brenti} and \textit{Y. Roichman} [Adv. Appl. Math. 27, 210--224 (2001; Zbl 0995.05008)] for the hyperoctahedral group, and \textit{R. Biagioli} [Adv. Appl. Math. 31, 163--179 (2003; Zbl 1020.05006)] for the group of even-signed permutations. The paper under review deals with the group \(L_n=C_2\wr A_n\) of signed even permutations. The author introduces two statistics on \(L_n\), \(L\)-length and negative alternating reverse major index, and proves their equidistribution over \(L_n\). Furthermore, a similar result is given for the subgroup of even-signed even permutations.
