In the approximation theory of shift-invariant spaces, the so-called Strang-Fix conditions are very important. They are conditions under which approximations (especially quasi-interpolation) can reproduce polynomials of certain total degree. In this article, quasi-interpolation is studied for an approximation with scattered data rather than equally spaced data. For such approximations, the Strang-Fix conditions are generalised and convergence theorems are provided.
