By using the method of fibre bundle reduction, the author constructs a theory of an SU(3) gauge field interacting with a Higgs field and obtains a complete set of gauge invariant quantities among which are certain nontensorial objects. This, according to the author, reflects the nontrivial topological structure of the gauge orbit space. The author's description is interpreted to be a model of the superconductivity phase of magnetic monopoles confined by magnetic vortices.
