    Der Autor betrachtet quasilineare elliptische Gleichungen \(Au+F(u,\nabla u)=T\) in \(\Omega\) \(\subset {\mathbb{R}}^ n \)und sucht Lösungen \(u\in W_ 0^{1,p}(\Omega)\cap L^{\infty}(\Omega)\). A und F erfüllen geeignete Struktur- und Wachstumsbedingungen und \(T\in W^{-1,r}(\Omega)\) ist eine Distribution. Er benutzt die Technik des relativen Rearrangements, welche er anderenorts beschrieben hat [Ann. Sc. Norm. Super. Pisa, Cl. Sci., IV. Ser., in press], um die \(L^{\infty}\)-Norm einer Lösung a priori abzuschätzen. Diese Abschätzung erlaubt dann letztlich die Herleitung des Existenz- und Regularitätssatzes.
