An analytic model corresponding to the collapsible tube for analysing the urinary flow in the lower urinary tract is set up from a physiological background. It is found that the self-excited oscillations can occur in both the region of negative and positive slope of \(P_ n-Q_ n\) characteristics. So this paper extends the results of Conrad, Griffiths, Cohen, McQueen and others that the self-excited oscillations can only occur in the region of negative slope of the \(P_ n-Q_ n\) characteristic.
