Verf. untersucht die Bedeutung der Annahme der \textit{Gauß}schen Verteilung für die Abweichungen von der rechnungsmäßigen Sterblichkeit in der Lebens-Risikotheorie und stellt die Frage nach der Berechtigung dieser Annahme (vgl. die Arbeit des Verf. ``On the mathematical theory of risk'', Försäkrings aktiebolaget Skandia 1855-1930 (Festschrift II), 7-84; F. d. M. \(56_{\text{II}}\), 1100). Da nach Ansicht des Verf. in gewissen Fällen andere Verteilungsfunktionen auftreten, fordert er eine spezielle Untersuchung dieser neuen Verteilungsfunktionen.
