The aim of this paper is to extend theoretical treatments of experiments with sampling plans. It deals with sampling from a finite population in a superpopulation model of regression type, the estimated parameter being that of this model. With the aid of topological and measure-theoretical considerations, results are specified for rejective sampling and its Sampford-Durbin modification. The asymptotic properties are shown to be similar to those in Poisson sampling. In the case of convergence the limit of the sampling experiments is characterized in terms of its Hellinger transforms and its Lévy-Khintchine representation. The last section deals with asymptotic normality of experiments associated with sampling plans, the main result being an asymptotic minimax theorem.
