The authors discuss and prove various results related to rapidly convergent series expressions. In particular they revisit one of the formulas of \textit{S. Ramanujan} in his second notebook, Chapter 14 [B. C. Berndt (ed.), Ramanujan's Notebooks. Part II, Springer (1989; Zbl 0716.11001)], relating the value of \(\zeta(2n+1)\) to an exponentially rapidly convergent series and interpret it as a modular relation due to \textit{S. Bochner} [Ann. Math. (2) 53, 332-363 (1951; Zbl 0042.32101)].
