Given a set of few points in 3-space the paper investigates the problem of finding circular cylinders or (in the case of more than five points) of pairs of coaxial circular cylinders containing all the points. Main attention is drawn upon the maximal number of circular cylinders resp. pairs of coaxial cylinders containing the given set of points. An appendix describes two methods of actual computation.
