The paper is concerned with the existence of solutions to the boundary value problem \(x^{(n)} - f(t,x, \ldots, x^{(n - 1)}) = g(t,x, \ldots, x^{(n - 1)})\), \(B(x) = 0\), where \(f : [a,b] \times R^{nm} \to R^m\) is continuous and locally Lipschitz in \((x,x', \ldots, x^{(n - 1)})\), \(g : [a,b] \times R^{nm} \to R^m\) is continuous, and \(B : C^{n - 1} ([a,b], R^m) \to R^{nm}\) is continuous and maps bounded sets into bounded sets. The authors use a constructive approach based on homotopy and Brower degree arguments. Several applications corresponding to special choices of \(B,f\), and \(g\) are discussed.
