The paper deals with the boundary value problem (1) \(u'' + cu' + g(u) = e(x)\), \(0 < x < 1\), \(u(0) = u(1)\), \(u'(0) = u'(1)\) for \(e(x) \in L_1 [0,1]\), where \(g(u)\) and \(e(x)\) are submitted to some growth conditions. Under further conditions there is proven the existence at least one solution via Leray-Schauder continuation theorem and the existence of exactly one solution under the assumption that \(g(u)\) satisfies a Lipschitz condition. The structure of the set of solutions is discussed, too. This paper is a continuation of a previous paper of the author [Appl. Math. Praha 38, 195-203 (1993; Zbl 0785.34024)], where \(e(x)\) belonged to \(L_2 [0,1]\).
