If \(B\) is a \(C^*\)-subalgebras of a \(C^*\)-algebra \(A\), then there exist *-representations \(\pi_1\) and \(\pi_2\) on one and the same Hilbert space such that \(B= \{a\in A\): \(\pi_1 (a)= \pi_2 (a)\}\). This result implies the statement in the title of the paper.
