Let \(A\) be an \(m \times n\) matrix with \(m < n\). \(A\) is in row-rhomboidal form if its square \(m \times m\) submatrix consisting of the first \(m\) columns is upper triangular and nonsingular and its square \(m \times m\) submatrix consisting of the last \(m\) columns is lower triangular and nonsingular. Necessary and sufficient conditions are given for an \(m \times n\) matrix to be reducible to row-rhomboidal form by premultiplication by a nonsingular matrix.
