The Sendov conjecture asserts that if \(p\) is a complex polynomial whose roots all lie in the closed unit disc, then, for any root \(a\), there is a root of \(p'\) in the disc \(|z - a |\leq 1\). By making the transformation \(w = 1/ (z - a)\) and using geometric arguments, the author obtains several conditions (involving \(a\), \(n : = \deg p\), and the roots of \(p)\) under which the conjecture is true. This leads to some easy to apply algebraic conditions on \(a\) and \(n\) under which the conjecture is true.
