Es sei F ein unendlicher Körper. Ferner seien \(A(x)=A_ 0+xA_ 1\in F[x]^{n\times n}\) und \(B(x)=B_ 0+xB_ 1\in F[x]^{(n+q)\times (n+q)}\) zwei reguläre Scharen von Polynommatrizen. Verf. gibt notwendige und hinreichende Bedingungen für die Existenz einer Schar an, die einerseits strikt äquivalent zu B(x) ist und andererseits A(x) als Teilschar enthält. Diese Bedingungen bestehen in Teilbarkeitsrelationen zwischen den zu den Scharen gehörenden invarianten homogenen Polynomfaktoren. Wesentliche Hilfsmittel sind die Smith-McMillan-Normalform rationaler Matrizen über F, durch Teilbarkeitsbedingungen definierte Polynompfade zwischen gegebenen endlichen Polynomfolgen und unendliche Elementarteiler von Polynommatrizen.
