The fundamentals of atomic and molecular physics (Q1944681): Difference between revisions

This book represents an expansion of course notes for fourth year undergraduates in atomic and molecular physics. It consists of two parts. Part I has four chapters covering topics like central forces and angular momentum, complex atoms, electro- and magnetostatic interactions and transition probabilities. In Part II, which has two chapters, the author discusses electronic structure of diatomic molecules and vibrations and rotations in diatomic molecules. The four appendixes give some background on atomic constants, spherical harmonics, tensors and magnetic dipole interaction energy.
