New fixed-points results for 1-set contractive set valued maps (Q1129480): Difference between revisions

The author obtains some fixed point theorems for set-valued maps extending some results of \textit{S. Reich} [Math. Z. 125, 17-31 (1972; Zbl 0216.17302)], \textit{W. V. Petryshyn} and \textit{P. M. Fitzpatrick} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 194, 1-25 (1974; Zbl 0297.47049)] and others. Further, a fixed point theorem for a random continuous hemicompact 1-set contractive map is obtained by using a result of \textit{K.-K. Tan} and \textit{X.-Z. Yuan} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 185, No. 2, 378-390 (1994; Zbl 0856.47036)].
