This paper is a well-written, well-organized and well-detailed. It makes a valuable contribution in noncommutative (odd) index theory. The authors provide an index theorem for certain Toeplitz operators in the framework of analytic \(K\)-homology (see Theorem 1.7:(a),(b)), extending Theorem 1.4 which concerns the unit ball. In more detail, the proof uses several facts about essential normality (see Proposition 2.5), and the proof of Theorem 1.7-(b) is deduced from Theorem 1.7-(a) using Proposition 3.5. As asked by Douglas, it would be interesting to reformulate the equality of Theorem 1.7-(b) in the language of odd geometric \(K\)-homology, and so to derive some cohomological formulas.
