Some mathematical problems arising in the theory of the non-equilibrium flow of a steady, inviscid gas are studied. Linear approximations to the equations of motion are used, and the methods of integral transforms are applied. Fourier transforms are used to represent the velocity and pressure fields an symmetric bodies. The cases of supersonic and subsonic motion for bodies of no thickness are given. The non-equilibrium flow of an inviscid gas over a wall is given.
