A presentation of the mapping class group of the nonorientable surface of genus \(g\) with \(s\) boundary components was obtained by \textit{L. Paris} and \textit{B. Szepietowski} [A presentation for the mapping class group of a nonorientable surface, \url{arxiv:1308.5856v1}, 2013] for \(s\in \{0,1\}\). Instead of writing here the explicit presentation we only say that the generators of the presentation are \(g\) Dehn twists and \(g-1\) crosscap transpositions. The goal of the work under review is to obtain a new presentation where the \(g-1\) crosscap transpositions are replaced by one generator called crosscap slide. So the final result is a presentation with less generators and it turns out that the presentation also has less relations. In the last section it is explained geometrically how to obtain the relations in terms of the new generators.
