    The author proves the following interesting result: Theorem 2.1. Let \(R\) be a Dedekind domain. The following are equivalent: {\parindent=6mm \begin{itemize} \item[-] \(R\) is a principal ideal domain. \item [-] If \(G\) and \(H\) are \(R\)-modules such that \(\mathrm{End}_R(R\oplus G)\cong \mathrm{End}_R(R\oplus H)\) (as ring), then \(G\) and \(H\) are isomorphic. \end{itemize}}
