A note on compactness properties of the singular Toda system (Q2356231): Difference between revisions

Summary: In this note, we consider blow-up for solutions of the \(\mathrm{SU}(3)\) Toda system on a compact surface \(\Sigma\). In particular, we give a complete proof of the compactness result stated by \textit{J. Jost} et al. [Commun. Pure Appl. Math. 59, No. 4, 526--558 (2006; Zbl 1207.35140)] and we extend it to the case of singularities. This is a necessary tool to find solutions through variational methods.
